Crane & Co. Sandtimers

There are 6 basic sizes of Sandtimers that I offer from my workshop and several of the sizes can come in a variety of running times. Any size timer can come with any of the pewter designs that I offer. To help make each piece even more unique, I use a large variety of hardwoods and burls for the bases. Along with each size is a list of possible uses for the running times offered. These uses have been passed back to me by my patrons and are by no means the only things a timer can be used for. We are only limited by our imaginations.

Small timer - These timers measure about six inches tall and are available in 2, 3, 5 and 6 minute running times. A two minute time out timer for children or a five minute phone call timer at work are common uses.

Medium timer - Medium timers come in 10, 15 and 20 minute running times and stand about eight inches tall. These timers can be used for work out and exercise timers as well as meetings timers at the office. At home the kids can use them as reading timers and instrument practice for school.

3 Bulb - These very unusual timers have a third chamber which in one direction will cause the sand to collect in the center before dropping to the bottom chamber. They are fun to watch and make an unusual conversation piece. All three bulb timers run for 5 minutes and stand around eight inches tall.

Large timer - Available as an hourglass or a 30 minute timer, these beautiful pieces stand about ten inches tall. We have sold these as meditation timers and piano practice timers or simply as a pleasing decoration for that hard to fill niche.

Jumbo timer - This exquisite timer is the top of our line. The Jumbo stands an impressive thirteen inches tall,runs for 1 hour and makes a stunning centerpiece for the corporate board room table.

Slim Jim - The historical Sandtimer has finally come of age with contemporary styling. Tall and slender with cylindrical glass globes, this new style timer runs for 15 minutes and stands about 12 inches high.
